Traditional holidays

People always celebrated holidays. Even the tribes in the jungle far away had their own holidays. Each holiday had its own meaning. For example, Holly was celebrated in India in the 4th century. Today it is known as the festival of colors. It is dedicated to the coming of spring and the expulsion of evil. During the celebration, people paint each other in different colors with colored powders or just colored water. Later this holiday passed in other cultures, and now it is celebrated all over the world. And it is not a national holiday, but a holiday of young people.

Our country has some world-famous festivals too. Who does not know Maslenitsa, Kupalle or Christmas? Perhaps they are not as widely celebrated as the Holly, but almost everyone knows about them in Europe.

We would like to tell about interesting belarusian holidays Maslenitsa and Kupalle in our project "Spadchyna".
